An opportunity to be involved and meet like-minded people at the city’s largest food event aiming to feed 5,000 people - The Edible Edinburgh Festival. 5,000 delicious free meals will be created by celebrity chefs and community groups from ingredients that might otherwise have been thrown away. The festival is for all who enjoy good food and are keen to minimize food waste. As a volunteer you will get to enjoy the delicious free food being served.

We need enthusiastic and reliable volunteers to be stewards on the day of the event Sat 5th Oct 10.30am-4.30pm (with breaks). Stewarding will involve several core tasks listed below to help the event run smoothly.

CORE TASKS
• Providing information on where to get pledge cards and meal tickets.

• Encouraging people to throw waste in appropriate bins (landfill, recycling, and compost)

• Handing out flyers on the day and telling people about the event in the streets nearby Bristo Square.

• Directing people to various locations of the festival, the food information stalls, toilets, kids area etc.

We are unable to reimburse travel expenses
