An opportunity to improve your skills in evaluation, communication and social research at the city’s largest food event aiming to feed 5,000 people - The Edible Edinburgh Festival (organised by Edinburgh City Council, University of Edinburgh & Nourish Scotland). 5,000 delicious free meals will be created by celebrity chefs and community groups from ingredients that might otherwise have been thrown away. The festival is for all who enjoy good food and are keen to minimise food waste.
This opportunity will assist you in gaining the following skills:
Training will be provided by the organisation for this position:
•Wednesday 2nd Oct 17.00 for a 17.15 start, finish at 19.00 •We will give you more background on the event and public consultation objectives. •Talk through types of social research and research methods we will be using – could be useful preparation/experience for student’s own undergraduate research. •Ensure volunteers are confident asking all the questions on the questionnaire. •Guidance on data input.
